knowledge, as well as an understanding of the Australian health care system. Nurses are
tested acrossseveralscenarios and adequate preparation is essential to pass this examination.
- The NCLEX preparatory training and examination is intended to be undertaken prior to arrival
in Australia and withing the first 3 months from enrolment in the Program. A further 3 months
of additional support will be provided for those nurses that require additional assistance.
Failure to show satisfactory performance during the first 6 months of the NCLEX preparatory
training will result in withdrawal from the program.
- The OSCE preparatory training and examination is intended to be undertaken within the first
12 months from arrival in Australia. A further 6 months training will be provided for those
nurses who have not been successful or have not attempted the OSCE examination in the first
12 months of study.
- A full outline of the training including learning resources will be provided to nurses as part of
the Program.
